We recently ventured to the other side of the world with our two kids in tow to visit family.  The kids were so excited and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to provide all the cousin time for them.  It is a long trip but thanks to years of traveling on airplanes they weathered the nearly 30 hour trip without complaint.

Brace yourself for an over share of pictures, but really how do you narrow down 800+ images to just a few for a blog post?

Entertaining themselves on planes and in airports. 

We made a trip up the coast and spent a few days at the beach.  Shell hunting was the preferred activity as those waves were somewhat intimidating.

We also went to Underwater World to see all the amazing sea creatures and the seal show.  We said hello to Nemo while we were there. :)

One evening we took the girls out for ice cream.  Yum!

I even managed to squeak in a photo shoot on the beach one evening.  I love these!

We also ventured south down the coast to visit another set of cousins in beautiful Port Macquarie. 

There is a Billabong Park in Port Macquarie and it is a favourite activity for everyone.  It is so neat to be able to feed and pet kangaroos.

One evening our beach bbq plans got squashed by a storm that decided to roll in creating some pretty awesome clouds. Didn't stop our fun though, remember Twister?

We headed back to Brisbane and then made our way to a Farmstay.  Who knew about such things?  It was really fun and a great experience for everyone.  Kate really embraced her inner farm girl and was all in for every activity.

It is impossible to sum up the experience of a trip we are only able to make about every 5 years in one blog post and a few images, but suffice it to say that it was worth the effort to spend time together with family.  Even with all the drama that made up our trip back to Canada, we all agree we would do it again in a heartbeat.  xoxoxox to our Australian Family
